Welcoming Amara

At 2am this morning, Amara Wallace Hunter-Bowman was born in our Bogotá apartment. The doctor forgot his scale in the office, so we are not sure how much she weighs, but all signs point to a happy and healthy baby. After an incredible night, mother and daughter are asleep on the coach, getting some much deserved rest. You can see a photo of our now larger family attached.

Basking in the joy of new life,
The Hunter-Bowmans

Congratulations! This is wonderful news and I am so happy to hear that everyone is doing well. Also, the name is beautiful. Can't wait to see more pictures!

Janna--You rock!! I kept zooming in closer and closer to see Amara's beautiful little face in the picture. I was reading that the Greek origin of her name is "everlasting." Amazing. How can we wait three months to meet her??

We told Julian and Noah as soon as they woke up this morning. Julian said "Yes!! Are we leaving for Aruba today?" Noah wanted to know what her name was.

Welcome to the world Amara! You are already loved by so many.

Janna and Jess, thanks for resending the pictures. I hadn't seen them. Your mom was having trouble with my e-mail. Amara is beautiful! And seeing pictures of my sister with her first granddaughter made me cry!!. Love and God's blessings. Aunt Irene
